The late Frank Kolinsky would always say that God don’t make no trash—his response when anyone had anything bad to say about the assemblage of rogues and junkies and gutter drunks that comprised the residential population of the E.M. Jellinek Center. Now that he’s gone, the Knox-area halfway house he directed has lost much of its state funding, threatening its future, as Mike Gibson reports.
