I’d just get some valium. Or one of its relatives–klonopin and xanax come to mind. As far as addictions go, this is a very easy one to break. I say it’s worth the risk.

Benzodiazpines(Valium,Klonopin,Xanax,Ativan, ect)are all in the same class of drugs, yet work differently from person to person, and also vary in their effects.

Xanax/Ativan are very QUICK acting, they set in faster, but also ware off much quicker, where Valium and Klonopin set in slower, last longer but are not as effective for some people.

The quicker acting ones are way easier to get addicted too.So on that note Valium is certainly “safer” than Xanax.

Now here’s where I get heated up so to speak, there is such a stigma with taking Benzos,Doctors hate to prescribe them a lot now,and when they do they only give you the “lowest dose” for the “shortest amount of time”,due to this “addiction” potential.

What people don’t seem to know, even some Doctors is that Benzos are some of THE SAFEST DRUGS known, they are safer then antidepressants, antiphyscotics, ect, ect.

People get addicted yes,but normally only because they feel so much RELIEF from their anxiety/panic,that they do not want to go back to life without the med, they now know what it feels like to be “relaxed” again.

The only reason Benzos TRUELY have a “bad rap” is because of the people who buy them off the street, and the people who get them from the Doctor but sell them on the street, when taken AS PRESCRIBED,they are THE BEST TREATMENT FOR GAD/PANIC/ANXIETY.

Now,all that being said, there is one down side,WITHDRAWL from Benzos(again the quick acting ones inpaticular)are HORRIBLE,they have been said to be worse than any other drug in a lot of cases, and they can/do cause BRAIN SEIZURES if stopped ABRUPTLY,after being used regularly or on a higher dosage. You MUST taper off them slowly if you’ve been on them longer then a month or two.

I beleive in Benzos,I am pro-Benzo,when used for these disorders,go to your Doctor, tell him what your going through.I would rather see a person have to take a pill EVERY single day(aka addiction),than see a person die young because their body was under soooo much stress from their illness that their it just “gave up”!

Good Luck!
