know that im 18. and know my parents finally realize i have add, i was diagnosned with it when i was younger and did not like being medicated i was freacking 4th 5th grade why do you need it than? let alone i was a kid and felt like i was stupid for taking the medication so i would pretend swallow the pills than throw them away when no one looked.

I went through high school several times i asked to get tested again, and maybe be put on adderall or vybans. MY parents declined i guess because they had caught me smoking pot before and drinking before they where afraid id abuse the drug. Well i am over that phase of experimenting with drugs. anyhow i got an appointment next week for the doctor and they will test me and likely give me a prescription which i am happy for.

Basically without adderal or vybans, i am a C student, and i have all the syptoms of ADD id say its not severe but its not mild. I have all the sytmpotsm various websites list for signs of ADD.

It makes me kind of angry thinking about it, i basically could of been making A’s and B’s let alone all A’s all through high school if i was just on some medication.

Now im a a freshman in college im doing better than i did before in high school i try a lot harder but even so its hard to pay attention unless its a subject i like generally and even so if the teacher gets off topic with something else i lose focus and my mind wonder’s ill take the notes i just wont pay attention.

I make B’s right now, but when i have taken vybans before or adderall i can focus do all my homework and i love to learn even more, normally i like to learn and read but i just have a hard time focusing and getting it done. With adderall i get it done and i love the results i study for hours and i make A’s anytime i have a test when it take the test on adderall or when i take adderal the night before and study the next test i make an A’.

Some people say i am just lazy with it, but i dont think i really am. its hard to explain how i think or how my mind works to most people because they just dont understand how generally hard it is for me to keep focus on tasks or get work done as in school work.

well…because sometimes the kids die from taking such meds. from overdose upped by their doctors or school teachers after a few weeks of taking it, severe side effects and others get worse when the claims are “they are good for you” and that “there are no side effects.” they are actually untested drugs. you guys diagnosed with add, adhd, bipolar, depression, and anxiety disorders are the guinea pigs (trial and error basis) and move on to the next med available if it fails giving adult med and adult dosage to children little as 3 years old (definitely overdose the kid) or add onto the one u already have to “fix” things to make u normal as the others or fit for society. but what is normal? whose normal is it? there is actually no proof that there is a chemical imbalance in the brain simply because there is no test for it or even know how to test it. diagnoses is purely on behavior observation. basically family doctors and psychiatrists prescribe because they get heavily funded to conduct the research, collect data, and try to sell to make a profit proving having parents believe it is saving their child life because its easy to coax parents into protecting their kids much as possible and the school teachers want their kids controlled so he or she could have it easy teaching class. idk…

I also hear that Ritalin is like or more potent than cocaine if injected or snorted though. Maybe your childhood instincts was right about not taking the meds because it could progressed into. I dont know how hard it is for u but my attention span for anything is less than 3min. and i am a c/b student. its normal. the real importance is to try to understand the content (like articles professors assign you guys to read and discuss next class visit) and not the whole details of the article or the lecture. This is based on children under the age of 17 so you can rake whatever u want from hear, dont mean to scare u but its good to see both sides to it.
