Not trying to sound like a hippy but other than that, they have legalized things that many people overdose and go through addiction on lab made substances

Just because many substances which are bad for you are legal does not mean you should legalize everything. Personally, I think alchohol should be illegal, nothing good has ever come out of a drunk. It will never happen though, Marijuana makes it so you are not in your right mind, anything with that power should be controlled.
