are we talking actual sex, or just masturbation? ’cause masturbation isn’t sex. it’s just jerking.

sex addiction is needing to have sex often; once a day at least, and often multiple times during the day.

It’s not symptomatic like a drug addiction. You don’t start getting the shakes from sex withdrawal, or rob liquor stores to get your next fix. As far as behavioral “symptoms” go, a sex addict may be more likely to get themselves into compromising situations and take unnecessary risks for fulfillment. However, just because someone is promiscuous or really enjoys sex doesn’t necessarily mean they are a sex addict. Basically, when a repeated action/habit starts to interfere with your ability to lead a normal, fulfilling life; when it impacts your ability to hold down a job, go to school, or form meaningful relationships with others, it can usually be classified as an addiction.
