Christians and Drug Use?
Question by Hope: Christians and drug use?
Someone asked a question about Bob Marley’s marijuana use and how it relates to spirituality. The hemp plant belongs to nature and there are other “drugs” with natural derivatives as well.
Why object to recreational drug use OTHER than for medicinal purposes like Bob Marley IF it doesn’t interfere with your life and your family life or your finances? It is far less harmful than alcohol. Dr. Mitch Earleywine, a California psychologist who is the author of “Understanding Marijuana: A New Look at the Scientific Evidence” and the just published “Mind-Altering Drugs: The Science of Subjective Experience.” said. “Cannabis has no lethal dose, so you can’t die from it. The impact on the brain structure for cannabis is nil, but there can be very serious brain function changes with alcohol abuse. Also, more dramatic liver functions are impaired with alcohol.
Would you consider (i.e) Bob Marleys’ usage as sinful? Is it only immoral and unethical if it becomes an addiction?

And is Bob Marley still alive?
He died at what 36?, so tell me was it just marijuana that he did?, probably not
I do not care what drugs anyone uses or how they use them, however, I do care if you get behind the wheel. If you use then keep it at home
and let us TAX the heck out of all of it
As far as sin goes, anything that is used and abused is considered a sin. The Body is your temple
