I Think I Know the Reason Why the US Has Not Significantly Eliminate the Drug Problem Im This Country?

Question by Ynot!: I think I know the reason why the US has not significantly eliminate the drug problem im this country?
What most people assume that it is mostly a inner city problem and it is true most of the drugs are housed there, but it is mostly whites who use it.
I will elaborate 10 years ago while living in upstate NY there was a drug sting operation done in the inner city with undercover police acting as drug dealers. Results 79 arrest 5 hispanic 7 blacks and 65 whites the overwhelming majority from the suburbs. Even with all the publicity the next night netted 56 individuals basically same ratio. The next day it stopped cold no news ever again, I suspect the officials told the police to cease because it was showing up the children and citizens that are supposed to be a pillar in the community.
I have come to the conclusion if you multiply all the cities in the US with a population of 1/2 mil or more and you cross mutiply you will conclude to the enormity of the problem and why officials don’t want the public to know that this problem is intensified by white users any thoughts on my theory
