Mormons (LDS) at This Time, What if Any Dietary Restrictions Are in Place for the Members of Your “church”?
Question by : Mormons (LDS) At this time, what if any dietary restrictions are in place for the members of your “church”?
You know, foods that you are not allowed to eat.
For the most part, excellent informative answers so far. it sounds like this doctrine has changed none since I was a child. Why change what is true and works. I’ve always thought that my family’s diet is what has contributed greatly to there longevity and lack of almost any disease. In some of our extended family in Utah there is diabetes and MS and in Wyoming, breast cancer among another Great Uncle and Aunts family. My family has been blessed however with excellent health from my Grandparents on down to over a 150 of us.
That’s one thing that I always praise highly about you LDS folks. You take care of the temple (your body) that God gave you.

it has been said in the scriptures that meat should be eaten sparingly. But I guess that is up to the person what sparingly means. If there was a real problem with our current diets and god had an issue we would be directed with the prohets councel.
